After several years of patronage, one night in June, I left my cell phone at the restaurant. The help stole the phone - which was confirmed. When I was unable to retrieve my phone, I would have at least expected the manager to offer some gratuitous token. None was made and I have not been back since. In Impact this week, the names of the owners were mentioned. I was impressed with the owner's father being prior owner of the Barn. We used to visit there all the time, (yes, I am an Austenite). So, I called Ray and spoke to him and let him know that I no longer was a patron and why. He indicated he wished he had known about the situation earlier and failed to offer anything in order to have my patronage returned. I was floored. Yes, I left my phone. And, no I am not out for a free drink. Yet, a glass of wine on the house would have me back. Things happen in the service oriented business, you must make the customer happy if you want return business. It is sad that they will never see me or my friend circle again. Cons: Lack of customer service
