Businiess name:  Garth Woodside Mansion B & B

Review content:
My husband and I chose Garth to celebrate our 2nd anniversary because it had been ranked so highly. We have stayed in numerous B&B's before, and have never been so disappointed. We payed $190 to stay in one of their ""honeymoon suites"" during the week- it was a splurge for us. The bottom floor of the mansion is beautiful- but our stay left much to be desired. First, our jacuzzi tub was merely a tub of hot water, since the jets barely worked. Then, the ""gourmet"" breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, a muffin, and for the main course- sausage and scrambled eggs with cheese. These things would not have been a big deal, but when my husband and I let the owner know that we were slightly disappointed in our stay- she literally yelled at us and told us that we did not appreciate quality. She cited the complimentary toothbrushes as something that should have made us excited, and told us that we should have appreciated the fancy, imported cheese on the eggs. She also hung up on me and my husband twice, and was very rude. I must say that next time- I will save my $190 and will buy my own $1.50 toothbrush, and will scramble my own eggs. This inn was a big disappointment- but even worse was the mean inn-owner! Her attitude put a severe damper in our anniversary trip. Hannibal is great- just stay somewhere else!
