Review content:
I purchased a commercial steel door from this company and had them cut a deadbolt hole and strike plate hole in the door jamb. The strike plate hole was not aligned properly and I did not realize their mistake until I had my builder install the door. I contacted Gamalski Building and discussed their mistake, and they agreed to have their installation manager call me to set an appointment for their technician to come to my home and replace the defective jamb. Instead of setting an appointment, I received a call one morning at 7:30 am indicating an installer was getting ready to come to my home. After coming to an understanding on the meaning of an appointment, I was able to have a Gamalski installer came to my home the following week and replace the jamb. Their installer, however, did not install the seal on the jamb close enough to the door and I had air blow through in this area. I contacted my Gamalski salesman the same day to report this mistake and to ask if I could bring the seal to their shop to have them expand the holes so I could correct the fit. The salesman told me he needed to ""think about all of this"" and would call me back. He never did. I did receive a call from one of the two Gamalski brothers a few weeks later after I wrote a complaint letter. He indicated he was interested in providing some consideration for my horrible experience and was going to call me back to let me know if he could sell me another door at dealer cost. To this day, this Gamalski brother has not called me back. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a building company.
