My husband and I have been dealing with DePaul hospital for 12 weeks now. He was hospitalized twice over the course of that time. Most recently, he was re-admiited the evening of Wed. 3-14. I went to see him Thursday morning and he was in so much pain that he was screaming that they were treating him like a dog. Thay had his 6' 2"" frame scrunched up on a small bed and gave him no painkillers except for percaset throughout the night. He was running a fever which was not addressed. He had no I.V. drip, which he needed to stabalize his electrolytes. They paid no attention to him, and left him to die, which he did, early Friday morning. If you love someone, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO DEPAUL. He was only 55, but they like to let you linger and die in there.
