Review content:
I bought a propane stove that I bought from Home Town Heating before they went out of business @ their previous Smokey Pt. location (also called) Home Town Heating. I payed $900.00 for a less then adequate, over priced install job from them now located at their new location down the street. After the install there was a huge banging sound caused by a delayed ignition. When I called the owner he confirmed it was a delayed ignition, not to mention no embers installed and they never cleaned the glass. They sent out a service guy who is the son of the owner or manager who didn't really have a clue what to do. After leaving to go get a drill he came back and said the part was here and he didn't need a drill after all. I asked him to fix a tiny hole they had tried to cover up with a screw that didn't fit and he assured me he would. After he left I noticed a piece of paper in the stove with writing on it along with hundreds of oily fingerprints all over inside the stove, so I had to pull the stove apart and remove the paper and clean it. Upon further inspection I noticed he also did NOT fix the hole he had assured me he would. I then realized they just put a bunch of embers on the pilot which has resulted in a huge flame shooting up that looks VERY out of ordinary!! When I called and informed him of my disappointment in sending out a service man who didn't know what he was doing made me very uncomfortable. The owner told me they had gone above and beyond for me!!!!! WHAT??? I guess fixing there own faults is considered above and beyond!! He further tells me that I bought the stove from another company and I said "" Yes You"" and he said well were a different business now. UHMMM WHAT??? Same name, same guy I bought the stove from moved down the street. I then informed him I would NOT EVER be doing business with them again!! EVER!! After Of course I see they have a history with BBB from their previous store. Wish I had known. I thought I was doing the right thing using a small business owner-My mistake.
