Review content:
This place is the real deal: Owners Mitch and his glamorous Mother have brought the East Coast west. Superb food, outstanding music, lively crowd, terrific staff, cover charge reasonable (Saturday night music). The place is small, so they insist on reservations for the Saturday night music. The night we went (5/10/08) a jazz/blues group called Annette Taborn and Curley Cooke played. They totally rocked the place! Other musicians came up at times to jam with them -- saxiphonist, harmonica player, another guitar player. Some people got up and were dancing, too. The place was packed full. We haven't had that much fun in years. And the food was great -- huge, delicious, hot grinder sandwiches served on big plates. We had to eat them with knives and forks, and take the rest home. It is a breath of fresh air to finally have a viable nightclub-ish option in the north end. They're open for regular service, both eat-in and take-out, from Wednesday to Saturday. We can't wait to go again.
Pros: Food, friendly staff, location, clientele, parking available, music
Cons: Ummmm... can't really think of any. Try it!
