These guys are very hard workers but are courteous and polite at the same time. They provided me with a move from San Jose, CA. down to Culver City and gave me a really good price for it.
I was actually very nervous about using their service because I've heard some really bad stories about the moving industry but I needed some assistance.
I expressed my concerns and Joey was able to explain the details of their services and what they would and would not charge for.
Come to find that they do have additional charges for additional services but they are very specific and are only applied if those services are requested.
I wanted a little help making sure my TV was going to make it to Culver City safely, seeing as how in love I am with my TV, Joey offered me a professional crate. Then he proceeded to let me know that I could take advantage of their crating services or I could wrap my own television. Then he explained to me, in detail, how to protect my television without having to pay the moving company any extra money for that service.
In most businesses, this is not a common practice so I was very impressed. I did wrap my own television but I wasn't able to finish packing before the movers arrived. They provide me with wardrobe boxes for free to pack my closets in and were even able to help me wrap my glass dining room table for as low as $40 in a crate. Once again, I was surprised by their absent hunger for profit over customer service and professionalism.
That's not even the cherry on top. When I got to my new location, the current tenants for my new place had still not moved out so I was practically homeless for a short while with nowhere to put my belongings. I called SM&S and explained what had happened and they reassured me that all long distance moves are offered up to 30 days of storage at no additional cost. I couldn't believe my original quote included exactly what I needed in the situation. Everything just seemed to fall into place with this company.
Great job SM&S team!
All in all, this company made my move go so smoothly
