Being around All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) and dirt bikes is a dream come true for husband and wife team Patty and Francisco Ulloa. Inside their store, off-road four wheelers sit next to motorcycles in assorted sizes. All the vehicles look as if they are waiting for the next opportunity to zip out of the store and roar across the dessert or mountains. ""El Centro and Glamis,"" explains Patty, ""are the most popular places around here"" to ride these dirt devils. These areas are part of the Imperial Sand Dunes and are about two and half hours from San Diego. The dunes provide tens of thousands of acres to ride the vehicles, camping areas and they also hold annual competitions and events at the dunes. Until 2007, Francisco Ulloa had been working as a painter but he fell ill and was out of work. When he recovered, he decided to re-focus his life and go back to doing the things he had always loved; his passion for off-road vehicles and working with his wife. With Patty's office skills and his knowledge of mechanics, the pair opened their shop on National City Boulevard in 2007. The company sells used motorbikes and ATV but they specialize in providing a wide selection of bike parts. They also service damaged vehicles and do routine maintenance. It is clear that Francisco has enjoyed being around motorcycles since he was a child. Dozens of mid-air action shots of his friends and family fill an entire wall of the shop. The Ulloa's are National City residents and they appreciate local customers who turn to their expertise to help find ordinary and hard-to-find specialty parts. The store is open every day except Sunday. It's a safe bet that their day off is spent, in part, riding and enjoying the vehicles that has shaped their lifestyle.
