We moved here to Monterey Townhouse in February 2011 after my husband was relocated to Seaside and we absolutely love it!!!! Everyone was raving about Monterey being the best area to live in but after doing our research the rents were ridiculous, especially in the old town area near canary row.
Small apartments and high rents just to be within walking distance from the beach was not important to us. Besides the parking would of been a real nightmare!!
After looking around for a week or so we found that most properties were really old and the manager was nowhere to be found..? Leasing Office? Anyone?? Hello?????
We happen to find this community by accident after visiting the InShape Gym on Casanova. We always prefer to visit apartments in the evening time to see what the noise level is like when most people are home and it was surprisingly quiet.
Oh and guess what? This place had an on-site manager.. YAY!! Our experience has been really great so far. The staff is great!! Our neighbors are really awesome and everyone seems to be very educated and polite. Something we were not used to coming from Hollywood.
The property is currently under new ownership and management as of October 2011 and the place has only gotten better. Immediately upon the takeover we notice a HUGE difference! The community looks better and we now have 24 hour emergency maintenance support and the new manager is awesome! He is genuine, very proactive, responsive and over all a real joy to work with!
We are grateful for such great neighbors, staff and co-workers who have made our relocation a real blessing!
