Review content:
This is the worst cry cleaning experience ever. This was my first time taking anything here because I usually go to one in Half Moon Bay but I happened to that day. BIG mistake. First of all, I would like to include I was in the company of my 65 year-old mother when this all took place.
It began when iI took a simple silk dress there to get a spot out a dress, which I had only wore one time (which they were unable to remove) The dress is hardly the issue here. When I went to pick it up, I waited for over 10 minutes alone before anyone ever came to my service. I knocked, went inside and out again to get the door chime and when I did finally did give it to them and picked it up days the date which it was to be picked up it was tore in 2 separate places on the hem. Remind you, I had worn this dress once and when Linda Mar Cleaners received it, the only thing wrong was a spot on the front. I am actually a pretty patient and understanding person, you see I am a local resident who works as an RN in the community. I assure you I will be telling all my patients not to ever give them business.
A gentleman described to me that the dress must have ""got caught in their machine and that he would fix it"" I was annoyed because I was leaving for a trip and wanted my new dress. But, said ""ok, ill be back next week"" He assured me it would fixed. When I did return about 2 weeks later. The dress had not been fixed and the women behind the counter told be to come in a few days. I told her I was leaving for a trip and she told me it would be done by 6pm then. So around 530pm I called, just to make sure before I dove all the way there, again that day, that it would be ready. She was very rude to me on the phone and hung up after telling me 6pm. So when I did arrive at 6pm and she tried to charge me $11 for the fixed hem I responded that I would not pay because they didn't get the spot out, they ruined my dress hem, I had waited 3 weeks, so it sounded ridiculous for me to have to pay. When I explained that the gentlemen told me the machine must have done it and that he would have it fixed she replied that he was temporary help and that he didn't know what he was talking about. This is an obviously family run establishment so that seems hard to believe.
She immediately started screaming and going manic insisting that I pay. She took my dress, pointed her finger in my face and YELLED AT ME, like a total nut case. She also yelled at my mother. This is a very trashy establishment. With a crazy person who screams at customers.
At first I kept my cool and then I let her have it. I felt horrible for her teenage son who came from the back eventually insisting that the customer is always right. The thing was, I wasn't even going to get mad, I just wanted my dress. She threatened to call the police and at one point we were wrestling over the dress across the counter. People from the parking lot were peeking in. This was an ugly scene. I do not recommend ever giving these people business and I will assure you that I will tell everyone not to take their dry cleaning there.
