My name is Sharon,i am a resident of Lakewood as of 10/31/07.This I must accredit to the services provided to me by the wonderful people @ the center ! Ethel V. was the 1st person I encountered,as I sought housing here,d/t all the AA mtgs.here. Today,I'm not only Sober nearly 11/2 yrs,but she/ they stood behind me thru my struggles to regain my Nursing License,& I have just been given an oppourtunity to give back in sobriety,by landing my ""DREAM JOB"" as a Recovery Nurse ! what a Blessing.I know 4 a fact,that w/out the help of this ctr.I would've turned back to my old life eventually,& the only thing left 4 me was DEATH ! I suffered from Gran Mall seizures & heart failure my last time in detox,this is why I'm confident to say,""THEY SAVED MY LIFE"",& I would not say no if they asked me to jump in & help if they needed me !! All of you who can,find it in your heart to help,by donating foods,& new or gently worn clothing,please do so.Winter is coming,just put yourself in their shoes,would you want to be hungry,or freezing cold ? I didn't think so !!!,When you help others,you help yourself,&yes,it does make you a better person,& the BLESSINGS are out of this world.Look them up,they're right around the corner from the hosp.I know you will be greatly appreciated by all of us for whatever you can do.It cost $ to keep the ctr.going.Don't hesitate,look them up today !!!!! Pros: I have never encountered any unpleasantry
