We had reservations for a large party for lunch on January 1st. I checked in early as I was the first one there and we waited for the rest of our party arrived. Several ended up not making it due to a broken-down car and we had to ask to be seated and then to ask the waitress if we could proceed with the meal since it would be served family-style and if our guests arrived - they could choose from what we ordered, as they were going to charge us for the number of folks on the reservation and not at the table. It took us probably 45 minutes to order because the waitress kept waiting for more guests instead of proceeding with the order. Once we did order, she was not knowledgable about the menu, and kept asking (in a snotty tone) ""haven't you been here before?"""" and repeating ""we serve family-style!"" in a loud tone like we didn't understand what she has said - we were simply asking a question regarding the menu. ""Family-style"" was her answer for just about everything. Once she finally got some back up support she was friendlier and was attentive when delivering the platters and made sure all beverages were filled and was quick to offer to box up the left overs. I think she made up for the rocky beginning - or at least, tried to. The angel hair pasta with garlic prawns and arribiata sauce was delicious(!!), the parmesan garlic foccacia was crispy-crunchy and flavorful, and the kids loved the cheese ravioli with marinara. Nice cesar salad (and they had anchovies on the side for those who wanted them). The chicken and spinach manicotti needs work and their version of a ""Bellini"" is just wrong. At the end of it, she did have the manager adjust the bill down to the number of guests who were present for the meal and apologized for the lack of professionalism earlier explaining that she had been called in to replace two others who had called in sick. We left the resturant feeling like it could have been better but we're willing to give it another shot.
