I went in thinking that this would be a great experience where I would get to see my baby before I see her in person.
She was ""hiding"", and would not show her face so the ultrasound tech, who is not a doctor, nurse or even a person with medical training proceeded to poke, shake, and even slap my stomach, ""trying to get a shot.""
It was awful. I had people with me, so I felt pressured to just lie there and take it. At one point he even had me do an inverted yoga move to try to get the baby to move.
We paid almost $200 for this ""service"" and I felt like this tech could care less about how I was feeling, or whether he was hurting the baby. It was a total rip off, and I felt like a ride at Disney Land that was supposed to preform some special display for everyone.
My stomach was sore for hours afterward, and after all the prodding and shaking he did of my belly, the baby just curled up more. NOTHING was clear on the screen. It was very blurry and I barely saw the heartbeat. I had a better picture at 8 weeks pregnant than 6 months.
I will never go back there, and I would strongly deter anyone else from going there. What is even worse is that the tech was very sick with an awful cold and he kept sneezing and coughing on me. He did not even cover his mouth. This is a person that works with pregnant women all day and he actually came to work sick! This place was terrible. And I got his cold, so now I am at work, miserable from this $200 disaster over the weekend.
