Review content:
I was looking for a place to work out after work and I pass the club on my way home everyday so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was a terrible idea. For one thing it's packed after work and it took at least ten minutes to find a parking spot. When I got inside it was crowded in both the waiting area/lounge and in the actual gym. The lounge was filled with yuppy tennis players and the staff seemed similarily snobish and uninterested in making my experience at all enjoyable. The prices were ridiculous for the amount of service provided and I can't believe my friends have stayed with Colorado Athletic Clubs for so long. My husband and I have been looking for a gym for a while and I thought this might work but I think I'm going to stick with the tredmill at home and free weights if this is what's out there. The actual equipment had a fair number of choices but most were not wiped down or in good condition and the staff seemed more interested in checking out themselves in the mirrors and the women working out. It made me annoyed and uncomfortable, especially as I stood waiting for people to vacate the machines I wanted until I saw the pool of sweat and back hair they left. The bathrooms weren't terrible (I'm sure the men's was worse) but even the woman's seemed uncared for. Also, it's a bit of a maze to actually find your way to the exercise equipment past the tennis courts filled with families that appear trained to play tennis well but not even to smile at others. I've heard good things about Colorado Athletic Clubs but this one sucked and I wouldn't come back if they gave me a free membership.
