Review content:
I have been here three times, & horribly disappointed. I dont know if there is more than one cook but OMG the salmon patties stick to your teeth and are gummy with NO taste, packed with flour, too thick, no eggs, onions or bellepepper. The salmon steak had to be covered in gumbo and it was just AWEFUL, with a slimy skin coverning the entire bottom, & the red beans and rice --where did that recipe come from, zataran's in the box beats the heck out of what we got. The wait staff did just that WAIT. The only redeeming part was being served the yummy cornbread basket when we were seated only much much later, to be impaled by the lackluster NO SOUL FOOD dishes. The cooks need some serious lessons in what soul food cooking is. With all of the people in this city who can throw down in the kitchen, a contest should be held to at least find someone who can do some justice to ""Beans and Cornbread"" I had guest here from Alabama, we just left our food only 1/10 eaten on the plate and went in search of food elsewhere. Hot sauce couldnt help it. We will not be going back. Wow how embarassing
