I took my Towncar in for service. The problem was that by driver's side door needed a new hinge after it had swung open wide unexpectedly. The door was unable to shut as it was badly misaligned. Okay, the first write up to repair was a little over 400.00. Fine, I said, thinking, "" now that's way expensive."" Maybe I said ""Fine, fix it"" too quickly. Next day Barry called to say that I also needed another door latch, said the latch was locking, etc. What? 189.00 more dollars to repair, which I reluctantly agreed. He said the car would be ready sometime tomorrow afternoon. He said he'd call me. Well, he didn't. Around 4 o'clock I called. Barry says, ""I've got some bad news; your two airbags in the shocks went out."" What! I had driven the car there and has never had a problem with the rear shocks. Do you know how much those air bladders cost? 2200.00 a piece. Well, by now I'm screaming like a banshee. After 25 minutes of this, and holding the line, I was told, ""Look, I've some good news--write this down; 273.00 out the door for new airbags. I feel as if I have been royally and deeply screwed. I do not recommend this dealership for service or anything else. It is obvious their service department gouges its customers. They do not treat you like Lincoln owners. It's incredible.
