Review content:
When you move to MD you need a state inspection. You learn very quickly what a potential racket the whole thing is ... I'm in Bethesda and there are no inspection-only places. You're forced to go to an auto shop. Why's that so bad? Because they have the power to fail your inspection. And why do they do that? Because they're an auto shop and will offer to fix the reasons your car failed, and until you fix them, you don't get that inspection certificate. I found two inspection-only shops, both an hour away from where I live. I spent the entire day online and on the phone talking to shops to see if I could find one that I believed wouldn't gouge me. It's a crap-shoot. Then I came across reviews for Premier Motors. The owner, ""D"", spent a good amount of time on the phone with me. I asked, him, ""Are you going to gouge me in repair costs?"" By the end of the call he had my heart and my car. This guy is a gem. He's in Rockville. Easy parking, easy to find, nice lobby to wait in while he does the inspection (only took him 1/2 hour), and charges $55 when everyone else in Bethesda is charging $80. He's not only an honest mechanic, but he owns the shop and has pride in what he's doing. You should see this place - it's immaculate. I've never seen a squeaky clean shop like this, from the lobby to the actual mechanic bays. He gave me a fair assessment of my car's condition. He gave me advice. He gave me my MD state certificate. I gave him my business from that point on for the life of my 2003 Honda Pilot. I'm one of those people who reads every review online. I will spend hours doing the leg work before pulling the trigger on something as important as finding a mechanic. I found him! I had to post this review because you MUST call D (his nickname) if you have mechanical needs. And you MUST call him if you need an inspection. You will be so happy.
Pros: Honest (really! I investigated the hell out of this place!)
Cons: There really aren't any.
