Review content:
This store doesn't even deserve ONE star! I was extremely disappointed with the store management. I walked in to purchase a comfortable pair of sandals for school. I teach preschool, so I definitely need a good shoe. After trying on a few pairs, the only one that I liked and seemed to fit was a Dr.Scholl sandal with a slingback. I had asked for a size 5 but they only had a 5.5. The clerk advised me to wear them at home and return them if I wasn't satisfied in upto 7 days. The next morning, I am wearing them while getting myself ready for school. The shoe start to slide off the back of my heel. After a few times of bending down to fix the back, I took them off, put them back in their original box, and decided to go to the store right after school. The shoes were still new!!! At 4:30pm the next day (I called earlier to make sure I made it before closing) I walked back and explained what had happened that morning. The manager sees the shoes and says she can't return the money because they were ""worn"". I explained that the clerk told me that I could wear them at home and bring them back within 7 days, the clerk was also present then. She said I had worn them outside. I asked how she could say that and make that kind of judgement and all she said was she would give me store credit. I asked her nothing else fit, that I had asked for a size 5. That if they had a 5 I would take it. They didn't have a size 5. So I told her, how could her clerk make such a promise if the store would not back up their policy. She said again, I had worn them outside. Upset, I left with my shoes and filed a consumer complaint. Yes, I could have accepted a credit but that wasn't the point - the point was the principle that I had been lied to and accused of doing something she had no proof of. Not only did they lose a shoe-a-holic good customer but I am also complaining to consumer affairs for terrible, terrible retail service!!!
