Normally, I am not a complainer, but I just saw something at the Madison TN Kroger that made me furious. At 6:20 pm on March 1, my wife and I were standing in a long line waiting to be checked out. It was very slow and when we got closer we could see why. The cashier had no one helping her bag the groceries. A floor supervisor walked by and she asked for help. He stopped for a second and then went off to find the bagger. Ten minutes later, he comes back in the store...with no bagger. He stops to help her as there are ten carts in line. He puts two items into a bag and then says that he is going upstairs. Meanwhile there are extra people walking around, sweeping the rug, etc. and no one is helping her. I ask her if he is coming back, and she says she hopes so because her break is now overdue by an hour. But he does not come back, so my wife and I start bagging. Right before we finish, the lady sweeping the rug comes and helps with the last few bags. I ask for the manager and am told that he is ""upstairs"". I left feeling disgusted with everyone, except our poor cashier, who kept apologizing. As of ten days later, I have received notice from the corporate office that my message got to the manager...but so far...no response. No surprize.
