Review content:
I went to Allen Toyota to look at a few spefic used vehicles that I saw online in their inventory. The one I really wanted to see was ""sort of"" clean and not really what I thought it would be, but I looked around at other vehicles. There was one that I liked but was way out of my price range. The sales associate Joey Phram, wanted to make me a great deal on it so I humored him. He did make me a great deal but as soon as the sales manager saw it he declined it and jacked the price way back up...to even more than the NADA price which I have been told by several dealers is one of the two standards they go by, the other being Black Book. Every dealer I talked to said they do not use Kelley Blue Book, but he was using it because it had the higher price. Then when he looked at mine which is much older he gave me a low balled price. When I told him that Kelley Blue Book and NADA had the same price for it for trade-in based on the equipment it had on it, which was 3X higher than his price he told me that that equipment didn't matter on an older model and is irrelevant for this trade-in so that is all they could give me. I even told them at the beginning I was having a hard time with dealerships being fair and that I had no problem leaving and taking my business elsewhere. I guess they didn't heed that because that is exactly what happened. They lost a serious customer ready to buy.
Pros: Great Sales Associates
Cons: Sales Manager Who Wants More Money
