Review content:
Granted I've only eaten here once - and am not planning on going back - so take my lackluster recommendation with a grain of salt. It was a hot afternoon and I was not about to order pasta, but we chose this restaurant among the numerous joints on Honolulu Ave. because there were many diners already there...Ordered a BLT and had to send it back because the bread was soft and ridiculously sweet (I think it's the house bread), asking instead for wheat toast. Nothing remarkable - I make a far better BLT at home. Fruit salad was a little tired. Green salad was fine. Slightly less appealing than the food we ate was the restaurant's attempt to be unique with the decor. Sawdust they lay fresh every day on the floor? Not sure what the effect is they're trying for, but it doesn't suit me. I would rather know the floor is clean.
