Been eating here over 20 years;couldn't bear to leave the neighborhood because of it. Ambiance is family oriented, from the customers to the owner's children doing their homework at the corner table. Have spent time in Thailand, and find the food authentic. Some items on the menu are found on every Thai menu ( but they""re better here); others are unique. The staff is invariably friendly. The owner divides his time between the the stove and talking to customers, and his wife serves as maitresse d'. There are times when the place simply gets swamped; you simply have to remind yourself this is the price of fame. The fact over half of the diners seem to be regulars. Of all the restaurants on Ventura between Sepulveda and Van Nuys, few last longer than a two years; this one has been in the same location for almost 25 years.
