Review content:
My boyfriend and I went to Cuba Cuba on Saturday night, without a reservation. With both of use being in the industry- he a pastry chef and I a part-time server- we definitely go anywhere with high expectations. The hostess estimated a 30 minute wait for us so we decided to have a drink at the bar, quaint enough to feel like you really were in someone's home - true to the design of the restaurant. The pineapple mojito was awesome as was the service by the male bartender. We were then sat within fifteen minutes. I had Enrique's bistec (the NY strip with yuca fries) and my boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja (braised flank steak with rice and beans). The authenticity of this restaurant is not to be missed. A Denver gem in a sea of trendy places that often don't deliver. Try the flan dessert with caramel. I can't wait for the patio to open so we can go back soon!
Pros: Ambience, cuisine, cocktails
