Review content:
After being transferred to Los Angeles from Bemidji, Minnesota, my wife and I decided to learn to sail since we were now living near the ocean for the first time in our lives.. There were lots lakes near us back home but we had zero experience on the ocean. We found Marina Sailing on-line and after comparing them to other sailing schools we decided to give them a try and I'm glad we did! We signed up for their Complete Sailing Course at their Marina Del Rey location and in 3 months time we had our 2 ASA certifications and began chartering a beautiful Catalina 28. We really like the fact that we can book charters from their other locations in So Cal such as Channel Islands, Redondo Beach, Long Beach, and even San Diego. My wife and I are both very busy with our jobs and we really cherish our sailing time on the weekends. Occasionally we'll leave work early to take advantage of the discounted weekly rates. It never occurred to us that we could enjoy sailing so much without the expense of owning our own boat. The bonus was the entire Marina Sailing staff - they are very professional. The instructors were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. We love our new sailing life in Southern California and we'll never go back to Minnesota under any circumstances! I would recommend Marina Sailing to anyone that is even considering learning to sail.
