This is a first time message and it was a great restaurant to visit years ago and it hasn't changed at all for great customer service. I lived on Green Street, off Grant Avenue as a young girl and woman; I am now 85 years old. After dinner my father would amble down to the Columbus Cafe a half a block away to meet his old cronies and have a ""cicatoon,"" or two which would be an ounce or two of bourbon. This cafe was his favorite place and he would generally stay there for about a half-hour, then home to bed. Columbus Cafe was a great place to eat and although most Italians would prefer to eat at home, once in a great while we would visit the cafe for a wonderful Italian meal.. Of course, my mother always thought her food was better, but then that's Italian.
