Review content:
I have known about the store for some years and have had the temptation to walk in and buy some new additions to my aquarium. The place looks fairly professional and clean. The presentation of the products and placement of cages and fish tanks draw in attention. The place at first seemed like a worthy place for business until I decided to walk in. I live quite a distance away from the store and don't have a car so I thought a bike ride to the fish shop would be most convenient. I arrived and got off my road bike and was in the process of opening the door when a lady promptly told me bikes weren't allowed. I would have understood her request had the bike been a dirty clunky mountain bike and there were people in the shop. Fact is that the shop had no customers there and she was the only employee. I told her that my intentions were to buy fish and a filter in case she thought I was just there to enjoy the view of the shop. With a smile she said we don't allow bikes here and never addressed my questions about my potential purchases. It seems unreasonable to care more about me walking in with my road bike in my hands than to promote business in a shop with no customers. I've walked in other businesses with my road bike without any problem and never thought that a person could be so focused on her policy that she would let money walk out of the door before it even fully walked in. I had higher expectations for customer service. I was told to go back home with my bike and come back walking. I did the former but wrote a well deserved review of her establishment instead.
