This was the first time at this spot and I kind of had high hopes. I ordered the two meat combo plate, the korean style ribs and kalua pork. I've been to several hawaiian restaurants and I kind of consider myself a foodie so I had high expectations. The price is a lil bit high for the category of food, but if it would've tasted great it wouldn't have been an issue at all. The kalua pork was dry and tasteless, just no flavor at all. I had to drown it in hot sauce to make it decent. The ribs were very good, unusually tender for that style of bbq ribs and the sauce was sweet and tangy without being overly sweet. The dish came with only a single scoop of rice, it was an average scoop. The tomato and cucumber salad was interesting, it was bold and daring with flavor. However it might not suit many people's tastebuds for sure. I like to give restaurants several tries before I make a yay or nay decision, so I will try this place another time with another selection off the menu for sure. The most disappointing thing had to be the Kalua Pork, it's supposed to be so full of flavor and this particular time it tasted like it had sat in a steam dish for quite while as the meat's natural juicy flavor had drained out of it as well as it being oversalted, just a let down there. Pros: Cucumber salad daring and bold. Ribs tender Cons: Slightly pricey for serving and kalua pork was dry
