Review content:
My mother died on December 24, 2007. She was a patient in Hayward Hills healthcare center. Now 4 years later, I am still distressed by the memory of my experience with Pathways. Services were disorganized and confusing. No one on the Pathways staff seemed to know how to coordinate or differentiate between the services my mother was to receive from Pathways and the support the nursing home was to provide. I spent the last days of my mother's life fighing for services. The ultimate blow was getting a call from the home health aide saying she was on her way to give a massage as I sat by my Mom's dead body!. Despite all of this,I was so distraught that I attempted to use the bereavement counseling my family was offered. I left a voicemail with the bereavement counselor at the time Neve(don't remember her last name). It took Neve 2 weeks to return my call! Needless to say, I would not recommend your hospice services to anyone. As I continue to struggle with my grief, I remain traumatized, hurt, and angry. This still an open wound for me.
