Review content:
I walked in to the Oom Yung Doe location in Redmond 8 months ago just wanting to get some information. I'd been toying with the idea of starting ""something"" but I wasn't sure what yet. After chatting with the owner of the school for a bit, she offered to give me a free private lesson right then. After 30 minutes or so, I was really excited. She led me through some complicated forms but I got through them and had such a great sense of accomplishment just after 30 minutes. I signed up for a 1 month program but after just a few classes knew that I wanted to sign on for a full black belt degree program. Having the opportunity to learn 8 different styles of traditional martial arts such as karate, tae kwon do, tai chi, etc AND 18 different weapons is something to look forward to. There is so much flexibility and opportunity to grow as a person given so many tools. In the last 8 months, I've worked with instructors from both the Redmond and Bellevue locations, as well as International Instructors visiting from out of the area. Each person I've been able to work with has their own unique style, but collectively they are all very patient, kind and insightful instructors. Every student is met at their level of physical aptitude and special attention is always given to any past injuries. I've seen them work with kids and adults from every walk of life and I can't say enough positive things about this group of people.
