From Ventura County I always try to use Roadrunner to support local business when traveling to LAX with the family. We typically pay for a private van as it's simply easier and more predictable.
Overall, the drivers are excellent and service is great. They'll recommend a route, but if you have a ""better"" idea, they're more than happy to take your recommendation.
They're always on-time to pick you up at home to take you to the airport, but from the airport to home is unfortunately a weakness and accounts for getting a 3 instead of 5 stars. It's asked not to call them until you have luggage in hand when you return, and then can take 30+ minutes to get into the airport and be at the curb.
Pros: Friendly, Personal Service
Cons: Pickup in LAX can be slow
