Review content:
I wish I had more good things to say about Denny's, but honestly, the food is institutional-type food. Breakfast is probably the best thing you can get there. They have a big variety of things, but most of it tastes ""instant"". Since it re-opened, this is what I find: the wait staff is overly friendly, using terms of endearment such as ""baby"", ""honey"" ""sweetheart"", etc., and personally I find that annoying, disrespectful and downright insulting coming from strangers. The manager is obviously suffering from a huge superioroity complex, taking every chance to correct, intimidate and embarrass the staff, for control purposes I suppose. As I was dining and observing, I just had to think that even tho these people have smiles plastered on their faces, they must be anxiously awaiting for their shift to end to get away from the tormentor. All in all, somebody there tries way to hard and overkills the whole concept. Personally I prefer a lighter atmosphere without all the over compensation, and I also prefer more ""real"" food.
