Review content:
I have buried many relatives. This was by far the worst experience with a funeral home I have EVER had! We were coming in from out of state with my father that had passed away on our family vacation. The funeral service that we used out of state to transport Dad called them to make arrangements and I did as well. When we arrived, it was freezing cold and raining and no one was at the mortuary to meet us and they would not answer the phone. There was no emergency after hours contact information on the building whatsoever. We had to call the fire department to get ahold of anyone to meet us. So we sat with Dad's body in the parking lot for 45 minutes. We have many relatives out of state and we told them to use a local florist that was the most reputable in the area. When we arrived at the funeral home to make the arrangements, we found out that they did not accept deliveries from this florist because of personal conflict between Jamie Hibbs and one of the delivery drivers. So they expect the grieving family to go over there and pick up arrangements?? Most of the staff was extremely rude, no one was on the same page, everyone told a different story as to what was and was not included in the service. They charged $45 for a ""hairdresser"" to cut Dad's hair and they never even put hairspray or any kind of treatment to hold his hair in place even though we were going to open the casket at the gravesite in the wind. I had to bring hairspray of my own. No one directed the pallbearers where to sit so they had no idea and were scattered in the congregation. The music did not cue up. A roach crawled up my boss' leg during the service. And my uncle, that has terminal cancer, came to see Dad before the service because he didn't know if he could last thru the service and an employee came out and shut the casket in his face and told him he could view AFTER the services. I have never even heard of a family being treated so poorly! I tried to meet with the owners to discuss this with them, and the wife came to the mortuary to meet me. She refused to meet with me and said she was ""on her way to meet with another family to make arrangements"" but as far as I could see, that was a lie. She was wearing faded, ripped up jeans and a Bud Light hoodie. If she was going to meet a grieving family in that getup, I'll eat your socks. My advice: STAY AWAY!!
