DON'T HIRE ANYONE FROM THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK FOR YOU OR ANYONE ELSE!!! And read cruzer123's review below.
Sarkinen is a RIP OFF! They charge per job, not by the hour, and they WAY overcharge. Their work is shoddy, too. I used to work in carpentry & in sheet metal and I know second rate work when I see it.
An employee from Sarkinen replaced a tub handle in our home a couple weeks ago. The cost was $500+. I already had the handle and there was already an access panel in the adjacent room. It took less than an hour to complete the job and it wasn't even done professionally. After the employee said the job was completed and left, I took a shower and noticed the shower pipe was loose and the pipe ring wasn't sealed, allowing moisture to enter the wall. I called to have them come back and complete the job correctly and when the employee arrived I was told that they didn't touch the pipe. That they had worked on the pipes below.
First, it wan't like that before they worked on it and second, the pipes are all connected to each other back there - come on! So, he sealed the ring, told me he was done & left. Job still not done correctly.
So, that was $500 for 1 hours worth of labor the teenager next door could have done better. In addition, the plumber replaced the tub spout and took the old one without asking. He claimed the old one didn't work with the new valve. Fine if that is true. But taking my fixture without saying a word to me about it is theft!
As this is my mom's home, she did the hiring. She had another plumbing matter that needed to be taken care of ASAP & just had him do this as a side job while he was here. This cheat of a company takes advantage of people and hiring them was a mistake. One that we will not be making again.
