First off,I want to say I have nothing against the Mechanic Rick-nothing.This is just an experience I undertook not too long ago.
So I was referred to Rick and been using him for number of years now.He is wonderful person,great mechanic and worth every dime because i get good service.However,his wife,who runs the account is way opposite and sorry to say will cost autobahn a lot of clients.
I had heard of the wife and how she makes up numbers and charges you fees that do not make sense-these same fees are different from what you would discuss with Rick himself.For example,I took my vehicle due to a leak from the power steer.Dropped the car off,talked to Rick and he would give me a call the very next day with the results.So I get the call,its the wife.She tells me how much the part cost.297 with taxes.I'm like great.I alerted her that i would drop off the car the week after, but to go ahead and order the part.Upon that, she tells me that the cost to pick the keys will be 50 dollars.Although there was no verbal agreement with Rick about the charge,I asked her if it would go towards the bill and she was like no.I would understand if the payment,which im not objected to,went towards a deposit of some sort for the part and eventually to the bill,but unfortunately the 50 was to look at the car.Rick himself was not even aware of this charge and that was because the wife was doing all the talking.Rick is a good mechanic,goes far and beyond to take care of your vehicle,but the wife im not too sure about it.I do actually see what people are talking about when it comes to her and its a shame that a number of people are not too happy.thanks
