Review content:
I came to Astoria Physical Therapy to receive treatment for a knee injury. At the time I started treatment it had been 2 yrs since the injury and I still didn't have full movement in my knee. I had pain when climbing stairs, walking long distances and walking on uneven ground. The therapists gave me a regimen of exercises to perform including stretching exercises and stair exercises. I worked on these exercises at home twice a day. Additionally I was shown a stretching exercise that I do daily to help keep my spine aligned. After just a few weeks of these stretches and exercises. I have been climbing stairs with no pain and walking for 2-3 miles at a time. I will continue the stretches and exercises to provide additional strength for my knee.
