My husband planned this trip for our anniversary. We stayed on the 3rd floor for the VIP. it was nice to have the breakfast and snacks with the bar included, but the hotel room with the jacuzzi was GROSS! The bedding had holes in the blankets and was dirty. There were stains on the comforter. I removed it from the bed. What was upsetting is that it was a really expesive room. I went to the spa and it needs to be updated. It was kind of dirty too. The mud bath had rust around the edging of the tub, and the flooring was gross. I really thought that it was too expensive for what you got. I would not go back to the Elms. It was too expensive with a MOTEL like atmosphere in the the room. Also, they had a problem with the fire alarms. They went off numerous times, even during our 5 course dinner. The town is awful with nothing to do or see. Our bill for the spa and two nights in the ""luxury jacuzzi"" room was about $1000.00. It was not worth it at all! Pros: Historic , Restaurant was good Cons: Dirty, Expensive, Nothing to do in the twon
