worst stay ever at a hotel, rude front desk day shift they change the name of the hotel from double tree surfcomber to surfcomber did inform us we booked through priceline in feb2011, 4 young ladies on a girls weekend out from michigan, our trip paid in full.when i booked the trip i called the hotel to make sure it was not no extra charge for anythings they said a $50 a night damages charge dep. and we could pay cash or a hold on a credit until we check out that was fine with us we stayed 4 days so that was $200 dep when we tried to check in april 21 at 10;30am they told me that they could not find any rsvp in my name so i showed all my paper work from when i booked on priceline in feb 2011 and ask to see a manager i was very upset so the manager took his time coming to help us now all the young ladies upset fussing. the ladies at the front desk was very rude so the manger said give them a room so the lady at the front desk said she need a $100 dep a night for damages and credit card only they dont take cash dep. Reminder that i say i called the hotel and ask all the question about the dep and they said $50 dep a night cash or credit and i get it back when we check out. and then she said i had to pay for the room cause it was not paid for reminder again we booked through priceline everything was paid for in feb2011 our trip was paid for april21-25 2011 so the manager told her to take the $200 dep and they put it on my card after i start really fussing and i said im going to call priceline since u cant find our rsvp ,so priceline took care of every thing and the room they first gave us was construction out side the window and loud drilling and a lot of men with yellow hard hats when u open the curtains so we called the front desk and they gave us a hard time again so we called the bell man to the room to get our bags and we went back down to the front desk again and start fussing again so they told us they would hold our bags and we have to check in after 3pm and it is 11am now so we really pissed we have to walk around with jogging suits its already 86 degrees and Reminder we from detroit ,michigan .we was told that doubletree sold the hotel to surfcomber thats why we was having so many problem about rsvp. and dep. so we walk around southbeach until 3pm and we went back to the hotel and front desk afternoon shift was there very nice shift they had 2 rooms for us to pick from the manager gave her 2 keys so we could pick our room, when we went to the first room she knock first before we enter, and she open the door and it was some one in the room, the manger thats still from day shift gave her the wrong key, not paying attention so the young lady to care of every thing so we went to the other room it was ok,, the bathroom and the room very very small and the beds look like twin beds and the blow dryer hanging up in the closet the lamp switch broke only 2 glasses in the room, and the hotel did not have paper cups u have to buy your own .tub had a lot of rust spots in it.the room had a very bad smell so we had to buy air fresher ,and tub cleaner.the maids was very rude did not want to give us any towels only 2 and it was 4 of us. they didnot clean our room we had the sign up to clean the room.the stool was getting stop up, the door man on days was very nice and the security on midnights was very nice. i would never stay here again this hotel sucks and we ask to see the head hotel manager on duty they said he was in a meeting he never showed his face . he sucks to
