These are major jerks. I recently parked at their unmonitored lot at 125 Collins on South Beach, Miami, Fla. We paid $20 at the self-pay machine, which was the only option it gave us. We thought this gave us overnight parking. NOPE! It was only good until 2 a.m. So imagine our surprise when our car was missing after we checked out of our hotel around 9 a.m. The signage in these lots is miniscule and well-hidden. Their fees aren't on any signs, all you have is a tiny slip of paper to put on your car dash. We would have happily paid the extra money to stay a little longer, but we HAD NO IDEA. After looking around for a sign, we finally found a number to call, and were greeted by a man with a thick accent. We could barely understand him, and barely hear him due to road construction on Collins Ave. Finally we learned our car had been TOWED to Tremont Towing. One $8 cab ride, another insane impound lot fee of $215 (with numerous trumped up charges) and $7 in ATM fees later, we left South Beach determined never to come back. The staff of Double Park LLC is rude, their practices and signage is shady, and Tremont Towing had an profane, unprofessional staff. This ruined our vacation. We will never come back.
