The rating is one star, only because I can't submit the review with zero stars. If anyone you know is looking for home A/C service, do NOT use Lakeside Heating & Air in Rockwall. I was referred to this company by a friend, to come out to do a maintenance check on my old A/C compressor, which by the way was working, but had been unofficially diagnosed as low on coolant. I thought the age and experience of this couple would be a wise choice; it wasn't. They took over four hours for service that should have taken one or maybe at most two hours, and charged me the price for adding 5.5 lbs of R22 coolant, even though none was added (the system was evacuated and recharged with the same coolant). I had them come while I was at work, and trusted them to be reasonable. Once the bill was written, for double what it should have been, legally I had no way of negotiating the amount. I paid them, but I'll never use them again and will actively work to keep anyone else from being ripped off that way. Lesson learned? Hire A/C service technicians by the job, not the hour.
