Review content:
I am not a mechanic. If I was, I would have known I was being taken advantage of. The owner of Lifetime Autoworks told me that I needed a major tune up, and a new fuel filter. He also claimed I needed a new battery, and an additional $800.00 in other repairs. All I really needed was the fuel filter. I found this out later, after I told another mechanic about the trouble I had with my car. The other mechanic at Master Mechanic in Niagara Falls, ON, said I did not need the additional repairs the owner of Lifetime Autoworks said I needed. The mechanic as Master Mechanic said, I did not need a major tune up, just a new fuel filter. The spark plugs they used for the tune up were platinum plugs, at $8.00 each. The mechanic I was talking to said that the spark plugs they put in were made for high performance cars, not my 1999 Ford Taurus. I had to go to the place in Niagara Falls because the real problem I had was the fuel pump. When I was ready to drive back to the U.S. I could not get started. My best advice is, stay away from Lifetime Autoworks. I feel like I have been royally screwed, and taken advantage of. I am on a very limited income. I could barely afford the $550.00 they charged me. However, I do need my car. I can not walk to where I need to go because I have foot, knee and hip problems. I hope you will strongly consider what I have said here before going to Lifetime Autoworks. L. Frank Edder In the end, I ended up with a bill of $550.00.
