When I first moved to The Shores, I LOVED it. Then we got a new set of office staff members twice inside of a three week period. I didn?t think anything of it until I received a notice to vacate for nonpayment of rent in an amount that was not what my rent payment was after I paid my rent in full two weeks prior. Luckily, I keep all of me money order receipts, so that wasn?t a major issue to clear up. The next day I received a notice to remove my animals for nonpayment of a pet deposit when I paid $600.00 six months before this new staff came through. I also received an electricity bill in The Shores? management company?s name for a month that I didn?t even live in my apartment!!! Just when I think that I have everything squared away with them, I get another notice to vacate for nonpayment of rent again in the incorrect amount. FANTASTIC, life couldn?t get better!!! These people have no idea what they are doing!!! If that wasn?t enough, one of the staff members randomly enters my apartment for no apparent reason and looks around as if she is ?casing the joint?. I decided to call the office again to find out WTF and was greeted with ?Thank you for calling Forest Oaks, this is Kelly?. I am now in dismay; I was under the impression that I was calling The Shores, not Forest Oaks. On a whim, I call Forest Oaks to find out more about our new addition, Kelly since she has obviously worked there before. Come to find out, their management company had been trying to track Kelly down because she stole all the petty cash out of the office as well as some maintenance equipment. Now I live in complete fear that I will come home from work one day to find that Ms. Kelly has taken everything I own since she has spent so much time seeing what I have in my apartment. I am moving out in a few weeks into my own house to live in peace without a future felon harassing me on an almost daily basis and I urge anyone who is considering The Shores to RECONSIDER. Pros: Spacious Apartments Cons: Staff, Grounds, Safety Issues
