Review content:
I just happened upon the previous negative review and have to put in my 2 cents... On 12/312005 I fell on my kitchen floor and broke my hip, after surgery and a little over a week at Kaiser Oakland I was place in the Kaiser Permanente Post Acute Care facility in San Leandro. Having observed the horrible , neglectful and cruel care received by my grandfather in one ""fancy"" care home and in later years inadiquate care my mother received on two incidents in two different care homes (at that time contracted by Kaiser because they did not yet have their own facility) I was extremely pleased with the excellent care I received at KPPAC. This facility is designed only for rehabilitative care. no one there is a long term resident or terminal. The physical therapy I had there was excellent. 95% of the nursing care was very good or excellent. All of my needs were met well beyond my expectations.
Pros: Excellent Physical Therapy, plenty of caring staff coverage
Cons: A long trip form Berkeley or OIakland for my family to visit me.
