Review content:
Friends N' Fun is truly an outstanding preschool. It draws the best from multiple philosophies but more than this the educators are experienced, innovative but allow enough flexibility in their curriculum to be student driven. Their greatest strength perhaps is their ability to foster social and emotional growth through building conflict resolution skills to engaging kids in group problem solving. They embed literacy in play and in a huge assortment of mediums. They create an extended family through cookouts, mother's day teas, individualized albums of the child's work. They go through about 7 units a year and really study subject matter in depth. For example in their ""Dog"" units kids went on a field trip, made clay dog bowls and ate from them, put on a ""Bark George"" play, invented a dog wash/dry/grooming center, etc. etc. I don't think I can give this unit or the ""Hideouts"", ""Space"", ""Water"", ""Faces"", ""Ducks"" unit enough justice. After having older children in several three other preschools and touring preschools in various capacities, I cannot recommend this preschool enough. Absolutely outstanding in every way. They do have quite a waiting list though so get on it early. The waiting list is shorter for the afternoon session. Pros: Nurturing, innovative, child driven, experienced teachers Cons: Wish it could accomodate more children
