Review content:
Initially the location is hard to find when coming off the interstate, however once you get there, you might possibly think that this is some dive diner. Not in the least! It was very clean, it even had an antibacterial dispenser RIGHT AT THE TABLE for use. But, was more impressive then the cleanliness was the food and the service. Mr. Adriane was a bit nervous as he took our orders, however when he started to feel his wings, he was a very personable young man and definitely gave us the down south hospitable service. Then came the food, this was past immeasurable, it was insurmountable! The jerk chicken stated that it was firey hot and they weren't lying, but was so tasty that the spice didn't matter. The greens were almost as warm (a warning to those with children who loves greens, this is for mature audiences only) but also had a great taste. My mother had the catfish. These are not little cuddle fish pieces either, they are not stengy when it comes to the portion sizes. This had a little cajun kick to it also and I do believe that my mother both stated that the experience was something worth duplicating. My only bad critism was the fact that there were two owners there and only one was slightly helping the ONE server in the whole establishment. Understandably, this is a fairly new place so they may not have much help, HOWEVER, only one of the owners sometimes set people with menus but mostly informed them that she was the owner and not doing much to assist Mr. Adriane with drink or food orders, checking on the kitchen for the staus of food orders or picking up dirty plates. She only did these when the customer ASKED her for this to be done. As for the second non-working owner, she stood next to the cash register to check out customers while watching tv until the other owner had to inform her that I had been patiently waiting their for a few minutes only two feet away. I also ordered catfish to go for my father with greens and instead of the cook placing the greens in its seperate container, it was put in the same dish which of course when tilted, the juices will overflow into the remainder of the platter which moistened the fish. My father nor I was the happiest about this, but it is a learning experience all the same. This is something I would DEFINITELY recommend to others. Suggestion to the owners of the company though to be taken more seriously by your customers and staff, teamwork is always valuable and appreciated and the mohawk as large as it was, is NOT professional!
