Review content:
i had an alternator put in my Jeep here for $175. i got a much better deal here than the big name places, like mayco or a Jeep dealership, where i would have paid 300 or more. mayco had the worst quote, 360 plus 40 for the test that autozone gives for free. the job i was told would take 2 hours at 900am didn't start until 600pm right before they closed. i was called at 200pm the next day to pick the jeep up. i understand my job was likely low priority and apparently the bolts were rusty. however, they didn't like being asked questions like what model of alternator was put in or a copy of the warantee, the owner claimed he'd never been asked that before. other places i got quotes from told me up front exactly what brand alternator would be put in over the phone, and that i'd get paperwork including a warantee copy. eventually i was showed the box, ""Toughones"", a generic sounding brand. if you want to save money and don't mind not asking too many questions i would recommend tires for less. you might bringing in your own part though from autozone across the street so you know ahead of time what your getting.
