I went to the post office in Fort Lewis, Wa to send a package to Korea. I wrote the names of street and city in Korean and name of the country in English. I have sent to Korea over 10 times every year with street name in Korean and country name in English without any problem. But the staff said very loudly that because I didn't write the address in English but in a strange language and Americans (including himself) can not read, so he can not send the package. So I said I had never had a problem for 10 years so he called for his supervisor. The supervisor said this package is going to Korea and it is ok to write the address in Korean. The staff became angry and said he can not send this kind of package. I was so frustrated and embarrassed. About 10 people waiting in line behind me supported the staff and I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated. Even after the supervisor told that my package had no problem, the staff said he can not accept any package with the ... Lewis, Wa to send a package to Korea. The name of the staff who helped me there was Jun. I wrote the names of street and city in Korean and name of the country in English. About 10 people waiting in line behind me supported the staff and I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated. Even after the supervisor told that my package had no problem, the staff said he can not accept any package with the address written in a foreign language other than English in a very loud, rude and despising tone and asked for agreement from the people waiting in line. So all the people waiting made complaints and everybody treated me as if I were a crazy person. So I had to leave that post office and drive 2 more miles to send the package in Dupont. I had no problem in Dupont branch. I never have had this kind of embarrassment in my life using the post office service.
