Review content:
I moved to Burlington in the fall and immediately started looking for a permanent place to live, and after doing a lot of searching I was lucky enough to get an apartment at Jackson Terrace.
The building itself is a former factory, which means there is plenty of space between the walls and floors to keep the noise to a minimum. The building is divided up into different sections with a separate entrance for each, so you don't have far to walk to get outside and there aren't people constantly walking around outside your door. There's also a large parking lot in the back that runs the length of the building (plus a smaller one on the side) and I never have any trouble finding parking close to my entrance.
What originally attracted me to this building was the price. For what some landlords charge for a studio in Burlington I get a two-bedroom with a living room and dining area, huge kitchen, nice bathroom, good-sized bedrooms and a huge storage closet. Heat and water are also included in the rent, so I only have to pay electric.
The landlords are just lovely people. They're quick to answer questions or return messages, and are aware of what's going on around the building without being nosy. They're also very prompt about any maintenance issues, and like to fix any problems within a day of telling them about it.
The tenants are a range of older students, young professionals, families and retirees. During the day it's not unusual to hear kids outside playing or people hanging out around the barbecue area, but everything is nice and quiet by the time I'm ready for bed. I can leave my windows open all night without being disturbed.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my apartment and have started recommending it to everyone I know who is looking for a place to live.
