On 8/27/08, I was in Lake George on vacation with my friend and her son and my son. The boys are 12 years old. We choose to sit on the patio. next to us, seated two men one of which was smoking. Then one of the boys ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. After tasting the drink a few times he complained that it did not taste good. I tasted it and could taste the rum in the drink. I went in side and said that we needed to move in side as I could not take the smoke. The hostess asked if she asked the guy not to smoke would we sit there. I said no. A women was there and told here to tell him to stop smoking anyway. She said it was against the law. I also stated the drink that was ordered for a 12 year old by a 12 year old had rum in it. The bartended came over and said the waiter did not say ""virgin"" He stated that they could loose their liquor license, and both be arrested. He thought that it was funny in a way. The kid drank 1/4 of the drink. The service went down hill from there. The waiter came to the table and said he was going to bring out one of the dinners as the other 3 dinners would not be ready for another 10 minutes. I asked why he said because it is done. 10 minutes later out came the rest of the food. minus the soup and salad. I asked and he said he forgot. I ordered a glass of wine which was also forgotten. We had to ask 3 times for silverware. The bartender came back to the table, asked how everything was. ""I told him that the waiter was the worst. He said ""no he is not, I could have sent over someone far worst, I can assure you he is not the worst"" With that he walked away.I have worked in the restaurant business for the past 27 years never had I ever seen anything like this. Knowing they served a minor alcohol, knowing that we were so unhappy. You think that they would be a little more apologetic. Not these people nothing. It's to bad, because the food was real good and the prices were reasonable.
