Review content:
I discovered Sandaga's in Germantown a few years ago. My parents would go there to get traditional African garb made. I myself went to look for unique African accessories for clothing and the apartment. What I discovered was a hidden jewel, a small boutique in Germantown that has the most gorgeous and authentic West African masks, clothing, fabric, jewelry, accessories and furniture. The man who owns the store is friendly and great at what he does. I recently purchased jewelry, a chora and had a lapa made and I get compliments on all! The prices are reasonable. If you are in the Germantown area and are looking for the best in West African anything, Sandaga's is the place to go. Pros: Beautifully unique hand-crafted jewelry and furniture Cons: Only makes clothing in traditional West African style.
