Review content:
Cafe Stella should be the best little bistro in Silver Lake--the setting is just right under the covered patio or at the bar or in the small, two storefront dining room. The look is boho chic--in an appealing way. The food and service--not what it was. Ingredients should be fresher (my sole tasted frozen) and presentation is haphazard at best. There's lots of butter (perhaps too much) and the frites can be perfect or you might end up with a side of leftover bits. Servers can be stressed (for no good reason)--appetizers and mains came out at the same time at my recent visit--not what one expects at these prices. Chimay on tap is a plus.
Pros: Ambiance is bistro perfect
Cons: Service and food aren't up to the prices
